How much does it cost to Study in Poland

Tuition
Tuition in Poland costs between €2,300 and €6,500 per annum at our partner universities.
Living cost
The living costs in Poland depend greatly on the city and the life style of a particular student. Accommodation costs between €100 and €5000 per month depending on a type of accommodation and city.

Study Visa

All the non-EU nationals who are accepted to study in Poland are required to apply for study visa in their own country of origin prior to coming to Poland. You can contact the Polish embassy in your country for more information on study visa. Here is the list of Polish embassies: https://secure.e-konsulat.gov.pl/

The type of visa to apply for students is a national visa (type "D"). This visa allows a foreign national to enter Poland and stay within its borders for up to one year. A national visa also entitles foreign nationals to travel to other countries of the Schengen Area for the maximum period of three months within a six month period.

Visa supporting documents Here are the supporting documents for a national visa (type "D") application:

  • • A completed and signed Poland student visa application form
  • • Valid passport (must be valid for three months after your planned departure from Poland)
  • • Copy of the passport page with personal data and photo.
  • • Copy of an ID document to confirm residence within the consular district of your application.
  • • A passport-size colour photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm). The photo must be:
    • o Clear, taken against white background and printed on quality paper
    • o Been taken within months
    • o Taken en face, clearly showing the eyes and face on both sides from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders with the face covering 70-80% of the photo.
    • o The photo must be taken without any headwear or glasses.
  • • School certificates and qualifications
  • • Proof of English language proficiency
  • • Official letter of acceptance from a university in Poland stating a course that you will be studying and a proof that all the outstanding tuition has been paid up
  • • Evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your studies in Poland (minimum of R100,000)
  • • Scholarship confirmation (if any)
  • • Last three months bank statements if paying for yourself, or parents’ if they will be sponsoring you
  • • Health insurance documents
  • • Proof of accommodation in Poland
  • • Transport documentation - air ticket wit
  • • If the student has a sponsor, this person must prepare a signed declaration of the coverage of all relevant costs together with a copy of his/her ID or passport. This letter (in original) must be Notarized (prepared by a Notary Public) and Apostilled or legalized by the appropriate institution. In addition to this, the sponsor must also provide a signed confirmation of employment letter (in original) which clearly indicates his/her salary/wages and the last 3 months pay slips. If the sponsor is self-employed, company registration documents confirming their status are required, together with a letter (in original) from his/her bank confirming personal credit card limit. In the absence of a credit card, the last 3 months' bank statements from the sponsor's personal account may be accepted (company bank statements will not be accepted).
