Scholarships
Our partner universities offer scholarships and academic awards based on the best academic performance or other conditions, some awards are partial funding and others are full funding.
The following scholarships are available
This scholarship is only available to new applicant students that are entering AUIS as semester one starts.
The Founder’s Scholarship is awarded to those with superior academic credentials. The scholarship awards seventy five percent (%75) scholarship credit applied to the academic program tuition for Basic Sciences, Labs, tech Fees, Text, immigration, housing and services remain the financial obligation of the student. Students awarded the Founders Scholarship award enjoy a 50% scholarship tuition credit applied to the Clinical Clerkship’s tuition. This amounts to a 62.5% reduction in the cumulative medical school tuition! A college cumulative grade point average of 3.87 is required to apply. College credits can be no more than two years old. Once awarded, students must maintain a minimum 3.80 cumulative GPA throughout the Basic Science curriculum, additionally a minimum evaluation of Honors must be maintained throughout the clinical Clerkship program..
Requirements
Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.College transcript (s) must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.87 for all college-level courses. MCAT may be considered but is not required.
Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.Founder’s Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.80 GPA for all classes in Basic Sciences and evaluation of Honors for all clerkship’s.

Applied over the four years of the MD program
This scholarship is available for students who enter AUIS prior to December 31, 2023,
The AUIS Merit Based Scholarship rewards hard work with monetary rewards. A grade point average of 3.0 is required to apply for this scholarship. The tuition charge for MD 1-4 is $6,600 per term, plus fees. College credits can be no more than two years old. Thereafter, recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA for every Basic Science term.
Requirements
• Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.
• College transcript (s) must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 for all college-level courses.
• MCAT may be considered but is not required.
• Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.
Up to a $26, 400.00 USD tuition credit for four terms.
Applied over the four terms of the Basic Science segment of the MD program
Research earns scholarship money. This scholarship is designed to reward future academic success rather than to penalize past performance. The criterion to apply for the Essay Scholarship is your Acceptance Letter! There are several topics from which applicants may select their area of greatest interest. Please contact Admissions Department for approved essay topics. The Scholarship Committee reviews the topics and determines eligibility for the scholarship. If awarded the scholarship is valued at $1500 tuition credit for first term of Basic Science classes. The recipient must maintain a 2.5 to 2.9 GPA. The scholarship reduces to $1000 for subsequent Basic Science terms if you maintain a 2.5 to 2.9 GPA.
Requirements
• Contact Admissions Department for approved essay topics
• Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.
• Select a research topic from the list provided. Submit the research essay to the Scholarship Director.
• No grade point average is required to apply for the Essay Scholarship; however, a semester average of 3.50 is required to continue to receive the $1500/semester for Basic Science tuition. The scholarship reduces to $1000/semester for Basic Science semester with a 3.0 GPA.
• MCAT may be considered but is not required.
• Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.
Up to a $6,000.00 USD Tuition credit.

WHO CAN APPLY?
All students, regardless of field, mode or type of study. Including international students admitted from academic year 2019/2020.
Application can be submitted after completing 1st semester.
WHAT IS THE BASIS FOR GRANTING?
Academic successes and additional achievements form previous semester.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
GPA from previous semester minimum 3.5 and maximum one retake exam.
Grade average is converted into points, which are added to the points for additional scientific, artistic or sports achievements.
Please remember!
It is possible to apply without any additional achievements, only on the basis of high grade average.
WHAT ADDITIONAL ACHIEVMENTS ARE AWARDED WITH POINTS?

WHO CAN BE AWARDED WITH SCHOLARSHIP?
Rector’s Scholarship for the Best Students is earmarked for 10% of students of every field of study with the highest number of points. There is no division into mode of study, language of study or specialization.
WHO CAN NOT BE GRANTED WHITH THE SCHOLARSHIP?
Students already holding an MA degree or equivalent and students holding a BA degree and starting a new BA degree program.
Students who repeat a semester or a year.
Students who did not finish the first semester, except for students of the first semester of the second cycle studies.
Students on the leave of absence.
Students who resumed studies after being struck off the list of students.

WHAT is SoL?
School of Leaders is a program in which talented students are supported in their scientific development and help in shaping leadership attitudes and skills.
As a participant you can benefit from:
• individual tutoring by an academic teacher to help you develop your interests and competencies,
• free participation in exclusive specialist workshops,
• participating in projects and research conducted by UITM units,
• free consultations concerning starting your own business, offered by specialists from the UITM -Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship,
• assistance of the Careers Service within planning your career path.
In addition, students belonging to the SoL will receive an internship offer at UITM units, where they will have the chance to gain their first professional experience and acquire valuable skills in the labor market.

Requirements to the School of Leaders is based on applications for the Rector’s Scholarship. Students qualified for the highest scholarship ceiling, will be invited to participate in this elite Program.
The only condition will be to submit to the Scholarship Section a declaration of participation along with the candidate’s CV.

WHAT IS A ASSISTANCE GRANT?
It is a one time payment for students, who find themselves temporarily in a difficult life situation.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Full-time and part-time students from all of the fields of studies, including international students and 1st semester students.
HOW OFTEN CAN BE GRANTED?
It may be awarded once a semester ( twice in the academic year).
WHAT IS THE BASIS FOR GRANTING?
The basis for application is a difficult life situation temporarily, in particular as a result of:
• an accident, serious illness of the student and the closest family member,
• death of the closest family member of the student (child, spouse, father, mother, siblings, legal or actual guardian) – provided that he / she lived in a common household with the student,
• theft or destruction of basic necessities through no fault of the student,
• destruction of the student’s flat, house or farm as a result of a natural disaster or other random event,
• non-culpable loss of job by the student, his parents, spouse, legal or actual guardians, provided that he / she lived in the common household with the student.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. An application for assistance should be submitted not later than within two months from the date of the event entitling the person to apply for the benefit.
2. The circumstances given by the student as the basis for applying for the assistance should be documented.
3. It cannot be awarded twice for the same circumstances.
Examples of supporting documents:
• documents of the Registry Office,
• medical certificates,
• certificates from the police, fire brigade, insurance institution, other certificates of competent institutions or offices confirming the circumstances described in the application,
• certificates from the Labor Office,
• employment certificate.

Social Scholarship
International students can apply for social scholarship if:
1. Have a permanent residence permit or are long-term EU residents,
2. Have a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in art. 159 sec. 1 or art. 186 paragraph 1 point 3 or 4 of the Act on foreigners,
3. Have the refugee status granted in the Republic of Poland or enjoy temporary protection or subsidiary protection on the territory of the Republic of Poland,
4. Have a certificate confirming the knowledge of Polish as a foreign language at least at the C1 language proficiency level,
5. Have a Pole’s Card or a decision confirming Polish origin,
6. Are the spouse, ascendant or descendant of a citizen of the Republic of Poland, living in the territory of the Republic of Poland.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Full-time and part-time students of all faculties, including foreign students, after completing at least the first year of study.
FOR HOW LONG THE SCHOLARSHIP IS GRANTED?
Scholarship is granted for one year.
WHAT IS THE BASIS FOR GRANTING?
The evaluation of the application takes into account the average grade as well as outstanding scientific, artistic or sporting achievements.
SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
• scientific publications
• participation in research projects conducted by the university or in cooperation with other academic or research centers
• patents and utility models
• active participation in scientific conferences attended by speakers from at least five academic centers,
• awards and distinctions in international competitions.
SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS:
Getting a high place in the: World Championships, Youth World Championships, Olympic Games, European Championships, Academic World Championships, Academic European Championships, European Students’ Games or Paralympics.
ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
• authorship, co-authorship or performance of artistic works presented in public, of at least national importance, or published in a circulation of at least 500 copies
• authorship or co-authorship of an invention, utility model or industrial design
• prizes obtained in art competitions of international importance in which participants from at least five countries took part

However, this is a unique scholarship that can only be awarded to the best students from all over Poland with outstanding achievements. Therefore, if you have achievements similar to those described above, please contact us. We will provide you all necessary details.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD NEW STUDENT
Total value of the award:
This award is offered to IIE MSA commencing student, to encourage and reward academic excellence in their previous studies. Commencing student with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80% and above, achieved in Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (excluding Life Orientation), will be eligible for a R4 000 bursary on your 2022 enrolment. The award does not cover textbooks, stationery, printing costs, living expenses or any traveling costs. Payments are in the form of an automated credit note to your tuition fee account. No cash is transferred to the student’s personal bank account.
Eligibility:
• Register for a full-time undergraduate course.
• Register for a full load as per the course structure.

This award is to recognize the importance of leadership skills pursued by the student. The award does not cover textbooks, stationery, printing costs, living expenses or any traveling costs. SIBLING BURSARY
If your brother or sister is studying at IIE MSA, each sibling is eligible for a 5% bursary based on their tuition fees. The award does not cover textbooks, stationery, printing costs, living expenses or any traveling costs. Payments are in the form of an automated credit note to your tuition fee account. No cash is transferred to the student’s personal bank account.

• Share the same parents or single parent.
• Both siblings have registered for a full load in the same semester.

NOTE:
• For all one year programs, the scholarship is in the form of waiver for first semester tuition fee only.
• There is no extended scholarship offered for PG Programs, since scholarship availed is for the full program fee.
Sports scholarship will be awarded @ 5% to 50% waiver on first year tuition fees for those students who have represented National / State teams as per the Sports Scholarship policy (Sport scholarships will be decided based on the decision of the Sports committee after personal Interview and Document Evaluation).
Alumni Scholarships for Masters Program:
10% waiver on full program fee (in addition to the merit scholarship) for students, who had completed their Undergraduate programs in MAHE Dubai.

Holland Scholarship for incoming students
The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The Holland Scholarship is for incoming students not originally from the EEA who have not previously studied in the Netherlands, and who plan to attend the HZ University of Applied Sciences in the framework of diploma mobility. The scholarship awarded is not a full scholarship. It has a value of € 5,000.00 and is allotted for one year only.
Please note: Payments will take place by transferring four instalments of each € 1,250. If you drop out before 1 April 2023, the remaining instalments will not be transferred to you.
Conditions for allotment:
• The student is not from the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
• The student has not previously studied in the Netherlands
• The student has an IELTS of 6.5 (or higher) or an equivalent
• The student wants to enrol in a fulltime (four-year or three-year) bachelor’s or the 1.5 year Master programme at HZ
• The student has already been (conditionally) accepted to the HZ Bachelor’s or the Master programme indicated with his/her scholarship application. See: how to apply for a Bachelors' programme
How to apply for the Holland Scholarship
Students can apply for the scholarship by sending an email to study@hz.nl before 1 May of their starting year. In this email, the student should indicate reasons for choosing the particular HZ Bachelor programme of study. The student must also send a copy of his/her CV with the email. The applications will be assessed by a two-member HZ Scholarship Committee, nominated by the academy directors. The HZ Scholarship Committee will award the scholarship based on previous academic results, motivation for choosing programme of study and C.V. applicants will be notified of the decision within 6 weeks after the application deadline of 1 May.
Rotary Club Vlissingen/Flushing.
HZ University of Applied Sciences is pleased to announce a Scholarship donated by the Rotary Club Vlissingen/Flushing. The Scholarship is intended for a student who has a strong wish to study in the field of water as offered by HZ UAS and return to his/her home country to help solve water challenges there. The Scholarship amounts to €2,000 and is intended for a student who complies with the conditions as listed below, and is a student of one of the following programmes:
• BSc Water Management
• BSc Civil Engineering
• MSc River Delta Development
Criteria are as follows:
• Applicant must be an international (free moving) student;
• Applicant has already been (conditionally) accepted to one of the relevant programmes;
• Applicant must indicate why this scholarship would be of great financial support AND how the costs for the duration of the whole academic programme will be covered;
• Applicant should express his/her wish, after successful finishing the programme, to contribute to solving water related challenges in his/her home country;
• Applicant should subscribe to show interest in the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
• Applicant is required twice during the year to appear at a Rotary Club Vlissingen meeting and share his/her progress in life and studies;
• Applicant should write and hand in an original essay, in which the points indicated above are made clear;
Please note: payments will take place by transferring two instalments of each €1,000. Should you stop your studies before 1 April 2023 the remaining instalment will not be transferred to your account.
How to apply for the Rotary Scholarship
Students can apply for the scholarship by sending an email to study@hz.nl before 1 May of their starting year. In this email, the student should indicate the above criteria. The student must also send a copy of his/her CV with the email.
An internal HZ committee will be appointed, consisting of a colleague of one of the three programmes (for which the applicant is NOT applying), a member of the HZ International Office and the relations manager.
Deutschlandstipendium (German Scholarship)
The Deutschlandstipendium (German scholarship) supports talented students from all over the world that show outstanding performance. By accepting the scholarship, you commit to fulfilling the requirements of the university and to engage yourself as a dedicated and successful student at the IU.*
With this scholarship, students may be granted financial support of €300 per month, usually offered for at least two semesters up to a maximum of the standard period of study. Funding is provided partly by the state and partly by an IU private sponsor (€150 each).
You can apply for this scholarship if you fulfill the following conditions:
• Study spot offer at IU
• (very) good educational performance (demonstrated by average grade, maths and English certificates etc.)
• above-average interest in the selected area of study
• identification with the IU University of Applied Sciences
• willingness to support the university in various projects/tasks
Which documents need to be submitted?
• Completed application for a scholarship
• Certificate copies (school, if applicable vocational training, internships, etc.)
• CV including photograph
• Letter of motivation (approx. 1-2 pages in A4 format)
• If applicable, letters of reference or certification of social volunteer work etc.
This scholarship requires an additional application process that can only take place after you have successfully applied for a place to study. An additional scholarship interview will take place with the candidates and the Campus Management and/or the faculty. Applications in German and/or English are possible.
• Step 1: Submit your written application.
• Step 2: If successful, you will be invited to a selection interview by the study guidance office (by phone or by skype)
• Step 3: Once all application documents have been reviewed, the best candidates will receive a confirmation that they have been awarded the Deutschlandstipendium.
